A trippy utopia book written in the '70s about a people who fallow their dreams, in the literal sense. I had never heard of it until a buddy of mine read it in jail and did a moral 180. I was pretty impressed my self.

Re: "The Kin of Ata Are Waiting For You" (Formerly "The Comforter") by Dorothy Bryant
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 8:16 AMok that's really weird -- I just picked this book up again out of my collection and re-read it - first time in 10 years - and now you mention it. It does bounce around some interesting ideas.

Re: "The Kin of Ata Are Waiting For You" (Formerly "The Comforter") by Dorothy Bryant
Sun, July 19, 2009 - 8:27 PMHi all! To bring up an old thread....
An Astrology podcast I listened to, the gentleman astrologer Benjamin Bernstein, has suggested this book to me as I used to write fiction, but cannot seem to put my characters into conflict. Neither Borders or B'N has it locally, neither do the libraries! so I will have to order it....

Re: "The Kin of Ata Are Waiting For You" (Formerly "The Comforter") by Dorothy Bryant
Tue, August 11, 2009 - 5:31 PMit's out of print think, my copy is from 1971. It was published by Moon books (an indie publishing company out of San Francisco that specializes in feminist material. Distribution through random house). The author's name is Dorothy Bryant. The original name of the book was the comforter. I hope this helps, everyone should read this at some point. I think I'm going to be picking it up again very soon -
