She then works behind the scenes with the moderator to have them censored. If that doesn't work, if she is rebuked by the moderator, she leaves the tribe in a snit. Or in this case, seeks to take control by having the moderation entrusted to one of her allies.
This is seriously anti-intellectual stuff. This person poses as an intellectual, but can't carry her weight, so instead she pulls stunts like this needless vote for a new moderator, which is clearly to serve her personal agenda and not for any good purpose.
Are people discussing this drama more than books? Of course, but that's their choice. Many people on tribe are more here for the drama than anything else. But what is the common denominator in all of this conflict? Canela. Yes. -

Books I just finished reading? Hell, once you are in charge, the name will be books I just finished burning. It will be a humorless tribe for people with no sense of humor or irony. It will be a tribe for people who read books in order to be pretentious.
As Rajalee said, you can't hold your own in any intelligent discussion. Your plot to take over this tribe to serve your own vendetta and agenda has been exposed by Rajalee.

--tell me, speaking of complaints, has Canela already sent you her demands that certain people be removed from the tribe? Tell the truth. She has a track record of using moderators to finish arguments she could not win by her own words. -

No Canela hasn't sent me any demands whatsoever. And I don't currently plan on deleting anything or banning anyone. Despite some obvious attempts at trolling, I'd rather let this run it run its course. If it stays contained to one or two threads, I won't touch it.
One of the main reasons I'm doing this is because some people have said they will contact tribe.net and express their disagreement with me be moderator. I think it would be best until the matter is settled to almost everyone's satisfaction* that everything remain as long as it is not causing a serious disruption to the state purpose of this tribe.
The other reason is that I am generally opposed to any kind of censorship as long as it does not infringe upon others. While this topic has not been handled maturely in all instances, it is obviously very important to some people and I think they should get their say until they decide they have said enough.

Most moderators are hostile to the free market of ideas. People don't come here for that. They come to tribe because they are damaged goods and seek reassurance from a band of friends who will tell them they are okay and it is the other people who are messed up.
