I truly loved this book. It is so well written, and the story in itself is fascinating. I learned a good deal from reading it. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it already.
Has anyone read his other book, Virgin Suicides? I would like to know your thoughts on it.

Middlesex is one of my favorite books (was so sad when I realized I only had 20 pages left!). Virgin Suicides was good but not nearly as good as Middlesex. It's very atmospheric and you get a great sense of the time and place, but I didn't find it as compelling. I'd still recommend it though...but don't expect the same kind of storytelling.
